During his campaign in Tarn Taran, Punjab Congress President Raja Warring gave a strong speech raising questions about Amritpal Singh and his family. He said that during the 2015 Guru Granth Sahib sacrilege incidents, he and the Congress party strongly opposed what happened. At that time, Congress MLA from Khadoor Sahib, Raminderjit Singh Sikki, even resigned from his seat to protest against the disrespect shown to the Guru Granth Sahib. Raja Warring asked why Amritpal and his family did not protest or raise their voices during that time. He also questioned the BJP, saying they have ignored Punjab’s real problems and tried to divide people for politics. Warring urged everyone to stay united and support peace and truth in Punjab.
