Manpreet Singh Ayali has officially resigned from all positions and responsibilities within the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Punar Surjit faction. In a video message shared on social media, Ayali expressed serious concerns over the party’s internal functioning and leadership style. Ayali stated that the leadership of the faction has lost its moral authority and alleged that important decisions were being taken against the opinions and suggestions discussed during meetings. He also resigned as the convener of the Talmel (coordination) committee, which was formed to strengthen party recruitment and unity efforts. Speaking about the failed alliance talks with Waris Punjab De, Ayali blamed the collapse on what he called “unethical leadership” within the group. His resignation has sparked fresh discussions in Punjab politics regarding the future of the SAD Punar Surjit faction and possible political realignments ahead. However, Ayali made his political stand clear, stating that he will never join the BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), or the Badal-led Shiromani Akali Dal faction. His statement has now intensified speculation about his next political move and the future direction of his supporters.
