Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed students during the special “Sitare Zameen Te” program held in Chandigarh, where meritorious students of PSEB Class 8th, 10th, and 12th were honoured for their outstanding achievements. During his speech, Bhagwant Mann appeared more like a teacher and mentor than a politician, delivering heartfelt guidance and motivation to the young achievers. The Chief Minister also gave an important instruction to the Education Department, saying that students securing equal marks should be awarded equal first positions instead of deciding ranks on the basis of date of birth. He praised the hard work of students, teachers, and parents, while highlighting how Punjab’s government schools are now progressing rapidly in education and even surpassing states like Kerala in several areas. Bhagwant Mann encouraged students to always remain humble and connected to their roots no matter how successful they become in life. He emphasized the importance of respecting teachers and parents, saying that even a winner has to bow down to receive a medal. His emotional and inspiring words received huge appreciation from students and the audience present at the event. The speech carried a strong message about education, discipline, humility, and Punjab’s changing education system under the current government.
