Straight Talk by Jathedar Gargaj Against Beadbi Law 🔥 Direct to CM Bhagwant Mann At the massive Panthic Conference held at Baba Bakala Sahib, Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj strongly challenged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act, 2026. Addressing the Sikh Sangat and Panthic leaders, the Jathedar stated that no government or political authority has the right to interfere in Sikh religious matters and maryada. The conference, organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), brought together prominent Sikh leaders, saints, scholars, and organizations to discuss serious concerns regarding the newly enacted Beadbi law. While Sikh bodies support strict punishment against sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, they strongly object to several controversial clauses included in the Act. Jathedar Gargajj emphasized that the Punjab government passed the law without proper consultation with the SGPC or Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He warned that forcing the SGPC to upload records of all Guru Granth Sahib saroops online and making sewadars legally liable for religious matters is against Sikh traditions and Panthic sovereignty. During his speech, the Jathedar made it clear that Sikh institutions will not tolerate unnecessary government intervention in Panthic affairs. Sikh organizations demanded immediate amendments to the objectionable provisions and urged the Punjab government to respect the independence and maryada of Sikh religious institutions.
