MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali and a high-level Sikh political delegation from Punjab have arrived in Uttarakhand amid growing tensions following the recent clash involving Nihang Sikh pilgrims in Karnaprayag, Chamoli district. The delegation, which includes MP Bhai Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa, Bapu Tarsem Singh (father of Amritpal Singh), and other Sikh leaders, held an important meeting with Uttarakhand DGP Deepam Seth to discuss the case and seek a fair investigation. According to the delegation, concerns were raised regarding what they described as one-sided police action against the arrested Nihang youths. After the meeting, Sikh leaders stated that the DGP assured them that serious charges, including Attempt to Murder (Section 307) and other contested sections, would be legally reviewed and examined in light of the available medical evidence and investigation findings. The controversy stems from a violent altercation near Krishna Palace Hotel in Karnaprayag market. The incident reportedly began over a vehicle parking dispute between local traders and Sikh pilgrims from Mohali who were returning from the Hemkund Sahib Yatra. Several people were injured during the clash, and four Nihang Sikhs were subsequently arrested.
