Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched a fierce attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a press conference on Tuesday, July 21. Reacting to reports that police may register FIRs against those who participated in the previous day’s protest, Kejriwal accused the central government of trying to intimidate young protesters and their families. “Modi ji, this country does not belong to your father. It belongs to 140 crore Indians,” Kejriwal said, warning that the people of the country could teach dictators a historic lesson. Kejriwal also announced that the Aam Aadmi Party had formed a legal team to provide assistance to the protesters. He assured parents that the party would arrange experienced lawyers, legal support and medical assistance wherever required.
