We talked about wait times in emergency department in Canadian hospitals and mismanagement and corruption in the Indian hospitals. Indian health system favours the people with money, but in Canada everyone deserves an equal right to get treatment. The commission based system in Indian health system is impacting heavily the pockets of the patients. The testing laboratories and the pharmacy have ties with doctors and everyone favour each other. The main point is that the people who blame Canadian health system and are moving back to Punjab, are only thinking about people who have money but if you talk to someone who is working hard to make both ends meet, they will appreciate the free medical system and will not be bothered this much by the wait time. We understand that it might be frustrating at some point to wait for a longer period in the emergency but on positive side, you know that you will get the best treatment when your turn comes. It is natural for someone to have different opinion on this topic, as everyone have their own good and bad experiences.
