As we continued our road trip, we explored the authentic village life that felt just like Punjab, India. 🚗 On the way, we saw roadside shops bustling with people, local tire shops, and even stopped at a roadside restaurant that reminded us of Punjab. The small rancher with horses and cows added to the rustic charm. 🏡 We visited a village where a local carpenter showed us his workshop and even invited us to try his homemade tequila, processed from the blue agave plant. Served in animal horns, this strong drink brought back memories of Punjab, where people make homemade desi shraab (traditional liquor). 🍽️ We also stopped by a small shop set in a house, carrying deli supplies and refreshments. Communication was a challenge due to the language barrier, but Google Translator helped us connect with the friendly locals. 🌿 The village itself felt just like a village in Punjab, with old brick houses, water tanks on rooftops, clothes drying on wires, and dogs roaming freely.
