With only one personal item allowed, we scramble to reorganize our belongings to fit within the airline’s tiny compartment to get our boarding pass. Upon arriving in Mexico, we debate whether to take an Uber but decide to go for a more local experience—the Mexican public bus! 🚌 And what a ride it turns out to be! The bus is packed, leaving us standing while holding onto anything we can for balance. The driver, impressively, multitasks by collecting fares from passengers while navigating through busy streets. One of the biggest challenges we encounter is the language barrier—English signage is rare, and most locals only speak Spanish. This gives us a real taste of authentic Mexico, where people take immense pride in their language and culture. This first day in Mexico is full of action, adventure, and eye-opening experiences!
