Isha Foundation has the largest bust sculpture, designed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev himself. The Adiyogi statue is a 34-metre-tall (112 ft), 45-metre-long (147 ft) and 25-metre-wide (82 ft) steel statue of the Hindu deity Shiva with Thirunamam at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Adiyogi refers to "the first yogi" or Shiva as the originator of yoga. It was established to inspire people towards inner well-being, through yoga. Adiyogi is located at the Isha Yoga Center. Its height, 112 ft, symbolizes the 112 possibilities to attain to moksha (liberation) that are mentioned in yogic culture, and also the 112 chakras in the human system. A linga called "Yogeshwar Linga" was consecrated and is placed in front of the statue. Devoid of ritualism, agnostic to faith and devoted to leveraging a celestial phenomenon, Mahashivratri attracts thousands of global visitors. Mahashivratri presents us with a unique opportunity to make use of the forces of nature for our wellbeing. One of the highlights of Isha’s Maha Shivaratri celebrations is the Midnight Meditation with Sadhguru.  At 11 degrees latitude north of the Equator, because of the tilt and precession in the axis of the Earth, the centrifugal force is nearly vertical to the Earth's surface. Isha Yoga Center, by virtue of being on this latitude, is an ideal place to be on the night of Mahashivratri. #adiyogi #shivastatue #coimbatore #exploreindia
