Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann officially launched the much-awaited 'Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana' from Dhuri, marking one of the biggest women-centric welfare initiatives in the state's history. Under this flagship scheme: ✅ Women from the General Category will receive ₹1,000 per month. ✅ Women belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) will receive ₹1,500 per month. ✅ The financial assistance will be transferred directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts (DBT). ✅ Women already receiving social security pensions will continue to remain eligible. ✅ Around 40 lakh women across Punjab are expected to benefit from the scheme. The Punjab Government has earmarked ₹9,300 crore in the state budget to implement this ambitious initiative, with the aim of providing financial support and empowering women across the state.
