In this video interview, we speak with the Sangat who gathered in Amritsar to celebrate the birthday of Baba Deep Singh Ji, a great Sikh warrior and martyr. A huge number of devotees (Sangat) arrived in Amritsar to take part in the celebrations. Hundreds of pound cakes were brought by the Sangat as part of the celebration. The atmosphere was filled with devotion, respect, and love for Baba Deep Singh Ji. Although the SGPC clarified that cutting cakes is not part of Sikh ideology, the Sangat still came with cakes out of devotion and served them outside the Gurudwara Sahib, ensuring that the maryada of the Gurudwara was respected.
