India is know for its friendship with Pakistan as we share the same line of Control. There are various borders between two countries but The Wagha border located near Amritsar about 25km from Amritsar and is one of its kind. It’s not just a entry port between 2 countries but also a place where different religions meet. In houner of both countries there is a daily Beating retreat ceremony (Timing:4:15pm in winter, 5:15 pm in summer)in which both indian and pakistani armed forces take part. It runs for about 45 minuets. The entry and ceremony is free of cost to watch. Please arrive at least an hour early to get in and get proper sitting area.In the vlog above I have presented a glipmse of the energy, happiness and the emotions expressed by both countries residents. You can only feel the excitement physically by being there and attending the whole ceremony. This border also provides an opportunity for trade between these two countries.There is proper sitting area for audience to watch the show and the entry is free of cost, before getting to the border itself there are various restaurants available on the way for either a quick snack or lunch/dinner etc at reasonable prices.
