The unofficial trail starts at Smith Dorrien Trail (highway 742) and hike is around 2 kms round trip and elevation is around 75 meters. It is an easy, family-friendly trail with fantastic wildflowers, mountain views, and an impressive suspension bridge to cross. The bridge is very close to peninsula day use area, which offers great views of lower kananaskis lake and small beautiful waterfalls in one corner. A perfect spot for 1 day of family fun, which includes suspension bridge, lake and waterfall not to mention mountains and wild flowers.
