He, along with Tarsem Singh (father of Amritpal Singh), alleged that Amritpal’s continued detention is a deliberate attempt to suppress his campaign against drug abuse in Punjab and described it as discriminatory treatment toward Sikhs. The leaders also called upon the people of Punjab to support Amritpal Singh as the next Chief Minister, projecting him as the party’s CM candidate for 2027. This appeal echoed similar calls made earlier at events such as the 2025 Baisakhi conference.
