Bomb Blast Allegation Rocks Punjab Politics, Valtoha Seeks Accountability Shiromani Akali Dal leader Virsa Singh Valtoha questioned former Punjab Chief Minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal over her recent claims, asking why she did not publicly expose the bureaucrats and advisors who allegedly suggested orchestrating bomb blasts to influence elections. Valtoha said that if such a “nefarious proposal” was indeed made during her tenure as Chief Minister (1996–97), Bhattal had a moral and constitutional responsibility to name the officers involved and take action at that time, rather than raising the issue decades later.
